Rebecca Bourne - Manager
Rebecca has been a Nursery Practitioner for 20 years. She qualified early on in her career and has continued to update her training throughout this time, she has recently passed her Level 4 qualification in Early Years and Education
She has always worked in the private sector and is experienced in all areas of development with children aged 0-8 years. Although being a manager of a busy setting is challenging and rewarding Rebecca's favourite time of day is spending time with the children, be it joining them for lunch or taking small groups to the local swimming pool.
For the last 14 years, Rebecca has been in senior Nursery positions and has been involved in the setting up of two purpose built nurseries.
Rebecca has said that she pride's herself on the strong, professional and loyal staff team that they have built up at Tassel Road Day Nursery.
Louise Rayson - Deputy Manager
Louise has been working with children since 1999 when she began her Level 2 in Early Years care and Education. She then went on to complete her level 3 in Early years Care and Education in 2001. Since 2003 Louise has been in senior positions and has been deputy manager at Tassel Road Day Nursery since the nursery opened in 2005.
Spending time with the children, especially the preschool children, is something that Louise thoroughly enjoys. She also loves taking the children on various visits, such as the farm or local bakery.
Louise completed her level 4 in Childcare and Education in June 2009. She is also the setting's SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) having completed her training in 2006.
Samantha Dyer - Deputy Manager
Samantha completed her BTEC National Diploma in Early Years in 2002 and in 2005 was appointed to the role of supervisor of the Baby unit, overseeing the running of four rooms with children aged 0 to 3 years.
Samantha has completed her Level 4 in Childcare & Education and is at present studying Level 5. She hopes to complete her Early years foundation degree in the next few years.
Samantha has said that she still looks forward to spending time in the rooms with the children, and it is this aspect of her role that she finds the most rewarding.
At present Samantha is on maternity leave after the birth of her second child and is looking forward to returning to work in the Summer of 2010.
Kate Smith - Cook
Kate is a qualified cook with an NVQ level 2 and has a wealth of experience from her work in residential homes and restaurants. Kate has a passion for cooking, especially preparing traditional homemade meals from fresh ingredients.
Kate is adored by all the children within the nursery who enjoy her nutritious meals.
Hayley Kipping - Preschool Principal
Hayley is level 4 qualified and has 7 years' experience at Tassel Road. Hayley has attended several courses which have helped her to develop her skills within the nursery. She enjoys many areas within her role, and particularly likes the fact that every day is so different !
Hayley has temporarily taken on the role of Junior Deputy Manager in the absense of Samantha Dyer who is on maternity leave.
Leanne Cox - Purple Parrots Supervisor (2s-3s Room)
Leanne is qualified to level 3 and has 4 years' experience in childcare (all of which has been gained at Tassel Road Nursery), and continues to attend training in order to gain further knowledge in order to provide a safe and positive learning environment for the children.
Leanne’s role is full of rewards as the children are achieving and learning something new on a daily basis.
